Tamer Refaat Abdelrhman, MD PhD MSCI, is a board-certified radiation oncologist, a Professor of Radiation Oncology, Stritch school of medicine, Loyola University Chicago. He is also the director of clinical research and international outreach, and the MRI-guided Radiation Therapy Program Director, at the Department of Radiation Oncology, Loyola University Chicago. He is the chair of ASTRO International Education Subcommittee and the incoming vice chair of ASTRO International Committee. He holds a professor of clinical oncology appointment at Alexandria University, Egypt. He has published and presented in national and international conferences more than a hundred peer reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, and original research projects. His areas of clinical expertise include breast, gastrointestinal and head and neck malignancies. He served as a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) University Panel 2017-2019. He is the president of Cancer Fellows Foundation, a nonprofit organization that helps early career international radiation oncologists to come for a month of hands-on training in the USA, so they have state of the art training in radiation oncology under his direct supervision. He served as a PI or co-PI on a number of institutional, and international clinical trials.
