Dr. Lin a board-certified radiation oncologist with specific expertise in pediatric and gastrointestinal cancer patient care, research, and secondary data analysis. Besides her training in radiation oncology, she received a PhD in cell biology and a Master of Science in clinical and translational research. She has special research interests in developing interdepartmental/interdisciplinary collaborative investigator-initiated phase I and II trials on GI cancer patients. Her research includes testing the effects of SBRT with novel radiosensitizers on patients with pancreatic cancer and the effect of novel radioprotectors on patients with anorectal cancer. In addition, her research also involves using big databases such as SEER and NCDB database to study the patterns of care, comparative effectiveness of different treatment approaches, and long-term outcomes for both adult and pediatric patients.
