Robert Samstein, MD PhD is an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology and Immunology and Immunotherapy at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a physician scientist, Dr. Samstein treats primarily thoracic malignancies and run a laboratory devoted to cancer immunology and interaction of DNA Repair pathways with tumor-immune recognition. As an expert in lung cancer treatment as part of a multidisciplinary team, he serves on the SWOG lung cancer, radiation oncology and immunology committees as well as the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) Basic and Translational Science Committee. His laboratory work if funded by NIH, DOD, as well as multiple foundation and industry grants.
