Giovanna Dipasquale is the CEO of a Swiss start-up company, spin-off from Geneva University Hospital (HUG) that creates 3D-printed immobilization devices for breast cancer radiotherapy. She is a certified Medical Physicist with training from the University of Pisa, Italy, and holds Swiss certifications in medical physics and radioprotection.
For the last 22 years, Giovanna has been working at HUG in radiation therapy, introducing advanced treatments like implementation of electromagnetic transponders for real time tumour tracking (prostate and lung SBRT), radio-biological modelling, and 3D printing. She has a strong research background with CERNs Medipix collaboration and has developed new radiotherapy protocols at HUG. She also teaches at the radiation therapist school (HES).
Active in the scientific community, Giovanna reviews for several journals and has served on the board of the Scientific Association of Swiss Radiation Oncology. In her free time, Giovanna enjoys planning for the next adventure with her husband, 2 daughters, and dog.
