Originally hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Shauna McVorran completed her residency training at the Medical University of South Carolina and a Brachytherapy Fellowship at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute Hospital. In addition to brachytherapy, Dr. McVorran’s interest lie within gynecological and prostate malignancies, CNS malignancy and gamma knife radiosurgery. In her mission to improve the health of her patients from all backgrounds, Dr. McVorran has served on the Equity and Inclusion Subcommitee of the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology (ARRO) and the Moffitt Cancer Centre’s Diversity, Inclusion and Disparities GME subcommittee. In addition to her medical training, Dr. McVorran has experience in health services administration, having previously worked both as a hospital administrator and as a private health management consultant.
