I am a resident physician in radiation oncology (PGY-4) at UCLA focused on leveraging novel imaging techniques to gauge the efficacy of cutting edge radiation treatment techniques in novel oncologic and neuropsychiatric diseases, and to utilize large patient data sets to better illustrate population-level characteristics of malignancy and response to treatment. I am also passionate in promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion for healthcare providers in an effort to improve access to care for all patients; my work on the EDI Committee for the Department of Radiation Oncology includes spearheading a holistic review process for residency applicants from underrepresented groups in medicine, as well as creating the Gender Equity working group. I am lastly focused on streamlining survivorship care and improving the patient-provider relationship; currently, I am implementing screening tools to identify patients at higher risk for distress and ineffective coping, and to use this data to prompt appropriate multidisciplinary referrals.
