Amie Ross is a Radiation Therapist at the Mid North Coast Cancer Institute, Coffs Harbour, Australia. She just completed a role as a Project Officer to implement Prostate SABR in her local health district without the use of Real-time seed-tracking.
Amie graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2010 before gaining work at the Calvary Mater, Newcastle. In 2012 she moved to Coffs Harbour to take up a permanent position as a Radiation Therapist. In 2016 Amie was successful in gaining a Level 3 regrade based on her extensive knowledge, experience and involvement in SABR. Amie has been involved in the development and clinical implementation of all SABR treatment as well as staff training and credentialling.
Amie has a strong focus in patient-centred care, education and emerging techniques. From 2017-2019 Amie was a lecturer and course coordinator for Charles Sturt University.
Amie’s research focus surrounds SABR techniques and she is currently working on publications around the clinical implementation of Prostate SABR without real-time seed-tracking, and the use of scripting and automation in the development of class-solution template-based planning.
