Nithya Krishnamurthy is a third year medical student at Mount Sinai. She graduated from Yale University in 2022 with a degree in the History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health and Global Health Studies. She has published research on topics including genomic alterations in cancers, targeted therapies, biomarkers of response to immunotherapy, and drug repurposing. She founded a student organization at Sinai dedicated to combating health disparities in the New York South Asian community. She received an MSTAR grant from the National Institute for Aging to research perspectives on palliative care coordination for women of color with breast cancer. She also helps run the Human Rights and Social Justice program and is very passionate about addressing health disparities. She is very excited to share her research on concurrent radiation and immunotherapy for advanced unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma patients at ASTRO!
