Dr. Luiza Giuliani Schmitt is a Research Associate in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She earned her medical degree from the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria in Brazil, graduating summa cum laude in July 2023. Dr. Schmitt is deeply passionate about advancing the field of radiation oncology through research, with her current projects focusing on the cognitive impact of pediatric low-grade gliomas and the development of adaptive radiotherapy techniques for central nervous system tumors, particularly glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) and brain metastases. In pursuit of her goal to specialize further in this field, Dr. Schmitt is currently applying for her medical residency in Radiation Oncology.
