Ben Archibald-Heeren is the group manager of development and implementation across Icon Cancer Centres international practices. Having re-trained from a radiation therapist/dosimetrist to medical physicist he is afforded a unique insight into the overlap and integration of both specialties which has resulted in a career focus in implementing new technology and techniques to improve patient outcomes. Across Icon group Ben has overseen/led the commissioning of over 25 linacs (including Varian TrueBeam, Halcyon and Ethos). He has been involved in/led the development of online and offline adaptive workflows, treatment planning automation and surface guided tracking techniques across over 40 Australian and international sites.
