Michael Snider is a current medical student at Duke University School of Medicine applying into Radiation Oncology. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a B.S. in Quantitative Biology and Neuroscience with a minor in Medicine, Literature, and Culture. Since starting medical school, Michael was named the 2023 Snyderman/Moore Scholar in Health Care for investigating more personalized ways to deliver cancer care. In 2024, he was recognized with the Duke University School of Medicine Department of Radiation Oncology Award for Medical Student Research and the GlaxoSmithKline Palmer Memorial Award for Pulmonary Research. Michael’s research so far has focused primarily on the treatment of early-stage non-small cell lung cancer and explores the expanding role of SBRT in treating medically operable patients. Passionate about the field, he looks forward to learning more and connecting with experts in radiation oncology.
