Asal Rahimi, MD, MS

Asal Rahimi MD, MS completed her medical school training at The Chicago Medical School after completing a Masters degree in Applied Physiology. Her Radiation Oncology Residency and Internal Medicine Preliminary Year were conducted at The University of Virginia. She then joined faculty at The University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center where she is an Associate Professor, and serves as the Chief of Breast Radiation in the Department of Radiation Oncology. She specializes in Breast Radiation, and with the UTSW team has developed a premier stereotactic breast program. She has written, conducted, and published on multiple clinical trials in stereotactic partial breast irradiation (s-PBI), and is involved with multiple innovative technologies to improve s-PBI treatments.
