Dr. Daniel Chang is currently the Isadore Lampe Professor and Chair of the University of Michigan Department of Radiation Oncology. He is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in radiotherapy for GI malignancies. His primary research interest is in advanced radiotherapy techniques, primarily with stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT). He is a member of the American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), American Radium Society (ARS), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). He serves on the scientific committee for ASTRO, ASCO, and GI ASCO. He served as the senior editor for the GI section of the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, and Physics from 2013-2017 and is currently on the editorial board for Practical Radiation Oncology since 2020. He served on the Hepatobiliary Panel for the National Cancer Comprehensive Network (NCCN) guidelines from 2013-2022. He is currently the track chair for the GI track for the ASTRO Annual Meeting Scientific Committee, and he serves on the Education Committee for the Gastrointestinal Cancer - Gastroesophageal, Pancreatic, and Hepatobiliary Track for the ASCO annual meeting.
