Dr. Wen earned his Ph.D. in Microbiology from Sun Yat-sen Universitys Zhongshan School of Medicine in 2016. That same year, he began working at Zhejiang Universitys School of Medicine in the State Key Laboratory of Immunology, led by Academician Xuetao Cao, where he focused on the regulatory mechanisms of innate immunity. In May 2021, he joined the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Precision Oncology, headed by Academician Jinming Yu, to conduct research on radioimmunology.


Dr. Wen has long been committed to studying viral infections and the regulation of innate immunity. His research aims to explore the regulatory mechanisms of antiviral innate immune signal transduction and to identify regulatory factors that modulate antiviral innate immune recognition and response. He has discovered several host factors involved in regulating antiviral immune responses and elucidated their mechanisms of action. These discoveries provide potential new targets for the design of anti-infective drugs and vaccines, as well as for the prevention and treatment of autoimmune diseases, inflammatory diseases, and tumors.


Dr. Wen has published nine research papers in journals such as Cell Research, Journal of Virology, Journal of Infection, Epidemiology & Infection, International Journal of Infectious Diseases, PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases, and Cellular Microbiology. He has served as the principal investigator for a National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Project.
