Dr. In Ah Kim is a professor and chair of Department of Radiation Oncology at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, Seoul National University College of Medicine in South Korea. She has been focusing on the management of patients with breast cancers and brain tumors and a principal investigator on many National Research Foundation grants for her translational and clinical research projects. She has been leading several clinical trials in the areas of breast cancer and malignant brain tumors including the now-completed NRG Oncology/KROG-RTOG1119 trial. She has also been leading multiple basic and translational research projects mainly focused on the preclinical studies on modulating radiation response by targeting pro-survival signaling and immunosuppressive cells. She is also currently focusing on immunogenomic studies using patient-derived biospecimens.
She served as the president of the Korean Society of Radiation Bioscience, the vice-president of Korean Society for Radiation Oncology, the chair of the Brain Tumor Committee & Translational Research Committee of the KROG (Korean Radiation Oncology Group) and Metastatic Brain Tumor Committee of the KNOG (Korean Neuro-Oncology Group). She was also a member of board of directors for Korean Breast Cancer Society and Korean Society of Neuro-Oncology. Currently she is a standing member of the Board of Directors for the Korean Cancer Association and the National Academy of Medicine of Korea.
