Ansel Nalin is a current PGY1 Resident Physician in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Nalin earned his MD degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2023. As a medical student in the Medical Scientist Training Program, Dr. Nalin also completed his PhD degree in Immunology at Ohio State University. His research investigated the mechanisms of human natural killer cell development and their roles in hematologic malignancies. Dr. Nalin has co-authored multiple manuscripts in high-impact journals in the fields of lymphocyte biology, cancer immunology, and radiation oncology. Dr. Nalin’s current research interests include studying the effects of radiation therapy on the immune response and identifying new immune-based therapies for cancer. After completing his current year of training, Dr. Nalin will begin his residency training in Radiation Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
