Dr. Zohaib Sherwani is a PGY-4 Radiation Oncology Resident at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ). Originally from Chicago, he earned his B.S. in Biology and Molecular & Cellular Neuroscience from Loyola University Chicago (2017) and his M.D. from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine (2021), graduating with Honors in Research. He completed a General Surgery internship at the University of Colorado, Denver. Dr. Sherwani serves on ARROs Education Subcommittee and has a keen interest in resident education. His research focuses on prostate, endometrial, and breast cancers, while his clinical interests lie in GU/Gyn malignancies and brachytherapy. He has published multiple peer-reviewed articles, including two in IJROBP. As Chief Resident, Dr. Sherwani has led funding policy reforms within the residency program. He also pioneered the Radiation Oncology Student Interest Group (ROSIG) at Rutgers’ affiliated medical schools (RWJMS/NJMS). His ongoing projects include technical reports for ABS, resident core curriculum initiatives in ARRO, and participation in the ARS AUC Palliative Committee.
