Dr. Idalid "Ivy" Franco is a Radiation Oncologist and inaugural Director of Equity, Access, and Inclusion for the Department of Radiation Oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Harvard Medical School. She is a national leader and innovator in the DEI space, creating multiple initiatives that have increased awareness on the important role of diversity, equity, and inclusion within radiation oncology. Her passion and drive toward creating impactful and sustainable solutions are a result of her early experiences as a first-generation Mexican-American immigrant growing up in an underserved community. Dr. Franco is committed to engaging with communities and empowering both patients and physicians toward addressing the social determinants of health that impair our ability to achieve health equity for patients diagnosed with gynecologic and genitourinary malignancies.
