Dr Supriya Chopra is a Professor in Radiation Oncology at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, India. She is the Principal Investigator of several Phase III trials in cervix cancer that tested either new technology (PARCER), Drugs (NELCER) or optimal fractionation for palliation (RAPPAL). She is also the lead author of National Cancer Grid of India Resource Stratified Guidelines for Cervix Cancer and has been instrumental in resource and workflow mapping in limited resource setting and coming up with nationwide and global transition plans for Image guided BT. She has also co-lead interntional collaborative initiatives to spearhead Automated IMRT implementation.
She has also jointly lead many international collaborative initiatives in cervix cancer translational research (BIOEMBRACE), RT in Oligometastatic and Recurrent Setting (RETRO-COSMOS). Her ongoing clinical work investigates Spatially Fractionated RT and Proton+Brachytherapy for recurrent gynecological cancers and Immunotherapy and Radiation in High risk cervical cancer. She has 170+ publications and has mentored many MD and Phd students.
