Dr. Shing Fung Lee is an associate consultant in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the National University Cancer Institute, National University Hospital, Singapore. He is board-certified in Clinical Oncology in both the UK and Hong Kong, as well as in Radiation Oncology in Singapore. Dr. Lee completed his medical training at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong, in 2010 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (UK) in 2015. Dr. Lee’s clinical expertise lies in palliative radiotherapy, as well as the treatment of lymphoma, lower gastrointestinal cancers, and central nervous system cancers. His research focuses on optimizing palliative radiotherapy regimens, enhancing the efficacy of radiotherapy in combination with systemic therapies, and investigating cancer epidemiology. In addition to his clinical and research responsibilities, Dr. Lee is actively involved in the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC), where he collaborates on initiatives to improve supportive care for cancer patients. His research on radiation toxicity, particularly radiation dermatitis, is aimed at developing practical strategies for managing this common side effect in patients undergoing radiotherapy, including those in lower-resource settings.
