Dr. Jeremy Brownstein obtained his B.A. in physics at Franklin and Marshall College in 2006, his M.S. in Physiology/Biophysics at Georgetown University in 2007, and finally obtained his medical degree at SUNY Stony Brook in 2013. He completed his radiation oncology residency at Duke University in 2018 and went on to complete a fellowship in adult proton radiotherapy at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in 2019, at which time he obtained board certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Brownstein joined faculty of the Ohio State University as an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology in 2019. Since joining, authored/co-authored > 10 peer reviewed papers and two book chapters and has won awards for resident education.
Dr. Brownstein currently specializes in treating thoracic malignancies and lymphoma. He is current the PI of four clinical trials, two of which are Investigator Initiated Trials. Dr. Brownstein has an interest in developing novel hypoxic radio-sensitizers for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer, utilizing stereotactic radiotherapy in the treatment of ventricular arrhythmias, and employing proton radiotherapy in the treatment of thoracic malignancies.
