Dr. Abby Rosenberg is the Chief of Pediatric Palliative Care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Director of Palliative Care at Boston Children’s Hospital, and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. Her national leadership positions include Chairing the Ethics Committee for the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Chairing the NIH standing study section for Lifestyle and Behavioral Health, and (previously) co-chairing the AAHPM State of the Science Program Committee. She has been continuously funded by the NIH for her entire career. She has written over 230 peer-reviewed manuscripts and spoken at over 130 national and international venues. Her research focuses on psychosocial supportive care for children, adolescents and young adults with serious illness. Specifically, she and her team build interventions to support resilience and improve mental health and quality of life. She has received numerous awards for her scholarship and mentorship, including the 2023 ACS Pathfinder in Palliative Care award, the 2022 Trish Greene Lifetime Achievement award for quality of life research, and the 2021 Faculty Mentoring Award (from the University of Washington).
