Dr. Debra Nana Yeboa is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Radiation Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) and holds a joint appointment in the Health Services Research Department. She joined the faculty after completing her medical training at UPenn and Yale.
Her clinical interests lie in advancing the clinical outcomes of patients with brain or spine cancers. Her research interests include health outcomes, health disparities and comparative effectiveness research. As the Central Nervous System (CNS) and Pediatric Radiation Oncology Section research director/liaison, she is dedicated to serving the clinical research programs of the section. She helped to develop within the MDACC Radiation Oncology Division a program for protocol development that reduced the time from protocol submission to trial activation. She serves as the Chair of the Protocol-in-a-Day program, which was published in one of the field’s radiation oncology journals. Nana Yeboa is committed to education and mentorship, and also serves as the CNS RadOnc section resident physician education coordinator. Dr. Yeboa is honored to have received during her academic career awards including the John Glick Prize for Translational Cancer Research at UPenn, the Gamble Twenty-First Century Scholarship, and most recently the Shirley Stein Scientific Endowment Research Award at MDACC.
