Naamit Kurshan Gerber, MD is an associate professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Perlmutter Cancer Center of the NYU Langone Medical Center. Dr. Gerber received her AB in the history of science from Harvard College and her M.D. from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed her training in radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Gerber specializes in the treatment of breast cancer and lymphoma. In addition to her clinical practice, she is actively engaged in research that focuses on improving outcomes for women with early stage breast cancer. She has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Gerber is a member of the NRG Breast local regional committee and serves on the breast scientific program committee for ASCO and the breast education committee for ASTRO. She is a senior editor for breast cancer at PRO where she also serves as the editor of the Morbidity and Mortality Column.
Dr. Gerber serves as the program director of the NYU Radiation Oncology Residency Program residency program. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including a two-time winner of the ARRO Educator of the Year Award and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology*Biology*Physics Outstanding Reviewer Award.
