This educational session is designed to raise awareness of the toxicities associated with gynecologic radiation therapy in the setting of advanced treatment modalities including complex interstitial or hybrid brachytherapy, immunotherapy and stereotactic ablative radiotherapy. We intend to highlight the more severe or worrisome toxicities for which we have limited published data, but may arise more frequently as providers strive for durable local control in the setting of improved survival outcomes with immunotherapy. Our multidisciplinary panel of radiation oncologists, medical oncologist and a reconstructive urologist will discuss the diagnosis and management of toxicities that include and are not limited to fistulas, cervical or vaginal necrosis, vaginal stenosis, immune-related colitis and radiation colitis. Additionally our speakers will review the patient-specific and plan-specific risk factors which may predispose patients to treatment toxicity.
