Renata is a Breast Health Specialist at Twin Cities Orthopedics in Edina, MN with over 20 years of experience in the rehabilitation oncology field. Renata obtained her PhD at the University of Minnesota 21 years after earning her master’s in physical therapy to learn more about the effect of adjuvant radiation on shoulder function in breast cancer survivors. She is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and Certified Lymphedema Therapist and has successfully developed 3 Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Programs in 2 states. Renata is passionate about rehabilitation oncology and multidisciplinary care, and often works closely with surgeons, radiation oncologists, oncologists, orthopaedic doctors, and other medical staff to maximize each patients level of pain-free shoulder function and to minimize their risk of (or severity of) lymphedema to allow them to return to the activities they love. She is a published author, has presented nationally and locally, and is driven to optimize quality of life in breast cancer survivors during and after treatment.
