Bruce D. Minsky, MD is a Professor in the Division of Radiation Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He holds the Frank T McGraw Memorial Chair for the Study of Cancer. His clinical focus is gastrointestinal cancer.
Dr. Minsky received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts in 1982 and completed his residency in radiation therapy at the Harvard Joint Center for Radiation Therapy in 1986. In recognition for his work in the development of neoadjuvant therapy for rectal cancer Dr. Minsky was awarded an honorary medical degree in 2004 from Friedrich Alexander University, Erlangen, Germany. Dr. Minsky is widely published, is an editorial board member of several journals and has served on the Board of Directors of both ASTRO and ASCO. In 2013 he was awarded honorary membership in ESTRO and is a fellow of both ASTRO (FASTRO) and ASCO (FASCO). He is a past President and Chair of the Board of ASTRO.
