Dr. Dicker is Enterprise Senior VP, Professor and Chair, Radiation Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University-Jefferson Health, Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center. He also leads a University-wide effort in Digital Health and Data Science, and founded the Jefferson Center for Digital Health & Data Science.
Dr. Dicker is a leading prostate cancer expert focusing on digital health and translational sciences. His work has resulted in the establishment of parameters for quality assurance in oncology, novel therapeutic clinical trials utilizing targeted therapies, innovative models to evaluate radiation modifiers, FDA approval of a genomic signature for the management of prostate cancer, and the use of wearables combined with patient-reported outcomes, to identify and mitigate treatment toxicity.
The NCI and DoD support his research on 1) patient-reported outcome development for targeted radiopharmaceuticals and 2) machine and deep learning architectures in the context of radiation treatment planning to identify factors associated with toxicity and quality of life in men with locally advanced or metastatic prostate cancer.
Dr. Dicker has numerous national leadership roles and responsibilities which include Co-Chair, NCI Clinical Trials and Translational Research Advisory Committee, Ad hoc Working Group on Radiation Oncology, Co-Chair Translational Science and Chair, Digital Health committee NRG Oncology, former Chair, Integration Panel, Prostate Cancer Research Program, Department of Defense, and former Radiation Oncology Co-Chair of the NCI Genitourinary Cancers Steering Committee Prostate Cancer Task Force. He actively participates on the National Cancer Institute Investigational Drug Steering Committee (CTEP), and National Clinical Trial Network Core Correlative Sciences Committees.
