Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
New York, NY
I am a PGY-4 radiation oncology resident at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, pursuing a career as a physician-scientist. My interest in biomedical research began as an undergraduate at Harvard University where I studied neurodevelopment and human neurogenetics. For my PhD work at Memorial Sloan Kettering I developed novel human stem cell-based methods for dissecting complex neurologic disorders and for drug discovery. As a radiation oncologist in training, I am now interested to apply my background in human genetics, cell-based disease modeling, and therapeutic discovery to understand how to improve radiation treatments for cancer patients. My current research interests include 1) understanding the cellular and genetic basis of late radiation toxicity, and 2) leveraging tumor genetics to develop novel combined modality approaches for treating CNS malignancy.
