Rohan Patel, MD (pronouns: he/him/his) is a PGY-4 and assistant chief resident in Radiation Oncology at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland, OH. He was born and raised in Illinois, raised by 1st generation immigrants from India and Fiji. He takes pride in his multicultural upbringing that inspired him to focus on Asian and Pacific Islander activism, which led him to complete his undergraduate degree at UIC, and later pursue his Doctorate in Medicine with a Global Health Focus at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. He is currently completing a Masters of Public Health with a Global Health and Policy concentration at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
His passions range from his interests in LGBTQIA2+ and Asian/Pacific Islander activism, global health, and URiM mentorship. He hopes to focus his career on fighting against health disparities in minority communities and improving access to high-quality cancer care across the globe, and advocating for workforce diversity and sponsorship in graduate medical education.
