Tiffany Zhu is MARC uSTAR Scholar and biochemistry major at Washington University in St. Louis, where her research in Dr. Hyun Kims lab focuses on ablative and adaptive radiotherapies to improve cancer patient outcomes. With a background in cancer metabolism research and a two-year cancer biology program, Tiffany is interested in translating scientific discoveries into the clinic. This fall, she is launching a project focused on storytelling and social connections for cancer survivors, a natural extension of her commitment to improve patient care. Beyond the lab, Tiffany addresses the digital challenges faced by teens through her work with Young Futures and advocates for greater medical resource accessibility on the National APAMSA Pre-Health Committee. With a passion for advancing research and patient well-being, Tiffany plans to pursue a medical degree and continue her journey in making a positive impact on both individual lives and the broader scientific and healthcare landscape.
