I am 2nd Year Medical Physics resident at Stanford University who is interested in clinical translational research. My current research interests are to develop tools which can enable safe translation of FLASH-RT to the clinic.Clinical translation of FLASH-RT is non-trivial; myriad of technological innovations are required before we can safely deliver FLASH in a clinical setting. I will talk about these technical challenges and propose solutions to overcome these challenges. In particular, I will talk about real-time beam monitoring and control using fast detectors and hardware and present some preliminary data.
