Robbie Beckert BS, R.T.(R)(T) is the Advanced Practice Radiation Therapist at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and specializes in Organs-At-Risk contouring for Online Adaptive Radiation Therapy (ART). In addition to his on-machine ART contouring duties, Robbie is heavily involved in adaptive research/data collection, as well as APRT research with an overarching goal of creating a new career pathway for Radiation Therapists within the adaptive space. He received his Certification in Radiation Therapy from Washburn University in Topeka, KS following a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Science in 2014 from Avila University in Kansas City, MO. Robbie worked as a Radiation Therapist for 8 years, with 4 of those years working with CT and MR based adaptive platforms before becoming an APRT in 2022. Since then, he has contoured well over 500 adaptive SBRT fractions, has given multiple talks, presentations, webinars, and published his manuscript on APRT’s improving contouring time for online adaptive therapy. His work in the adaptive space has led to multiple milestones such as, treating the 1st adaptive patient using Ethos, in the Western Hemisphere, becoming 1 of 2 APRT’s in the United States and the only APRT doing online adaptive contouring, and most recently, treating the 1st adaptive patient using Protons in the Western Hemisphere.
