James Ninia is a radiation oncology resident at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, CT. He is a 2022 graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. He previously received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and philosophy from Brown University in 2016 and went on to obtain a master’s in bioethics from Columbia, which he completed in 2017. Prior to beginning medical school, he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to perform preclinical trials on novel drugs for muscular dystrophies in conjunction with the Fondazione Santa Lucia in Rome, Italy. His interests include palliative care, clinical and research ethics, and metastatic disease.
