Dr. Yi Wang is a medical physicist in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School. He got his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan and was trained in the Harvard Medical Physics Residency Program. He is certified in Therapeutic Physics by the American Board of Radiology. He serves as the head of the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence in Radiation Oncology (LAIRO) at MGH and a member in the AAPM Machine Learning Subcommittee (MLSC). The mission of his lab is to use AI technologies to promote clinical efficiency and consistency, advance innovative RT solutions, and democratize clinical experiences. His group has developed multiple machine learning models for auto segmentation, auto planning, plan quality control and clinical decision support. His recent interest is to use AI to drive every component of online adaptive radiation therapy.
