Kaylie Cullison, PhD, is an MD/PhD student at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicines (UMMSM) Medical Scientist Training Program. Currently in her 7th year of her program (3rd year of medical school), she is received her PhD in biomedical engineering under the mentorship of Eric A. Mellon, MD, PhD in the spring of 2024. Dr. Cullison conducted her graduate research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Centers Department of Radiation Oncology at UMMSM. Her research interests focus on developing and automating MRI image processing techniques to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and outcome prediction of disease. The goal of her PhD research was to develop an algorithm that predicts outcome in glioblastoma patients treated with radiation therapy (RT) on MRI-Linac. Dr. Cullison is an aspiring physician scientist, with interest in the clinical fields of radiation oncology and neurooncology.
