Edward C. Halperin MD MA received his MD from Yale University, MA from Duke University, was an intern in internal medicine at Stanford University Medical Center, and a resident and chief resident in radiation oncology at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He has served as an endowed professor and chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Duke University, vice dean of Duke University’s School of Medicine endowed professor and Dean of the School of Medicine at the University of Louisville, and endowed professor and Chancellor/CEO of New York Medical College (NYMC). NYMC, founded in 1860, is a health science university with schools of medicine, dentistry, podiatry, graduate studies, and health professions. Dr. Halperin is the editor/author of Perez, Brady, Halperin, and Wazer’s Principles and Practice of Radiation Oncology and of Pediatric Radiation Oncology.
