Jacob Scott is a Physician-Scientist and Radiation Oncologist at Cleveland Clinic. He specializes clinically in the treatment of patients with sarcoma, and in the lab studies the evolution of therapy resistance in cancer and pathogens. Using a combination of experimental evolution, mathematical models and data science techniques, he and his team hope to uncover the fundamental principles driving the evolution of resistance and the subsequent failure of our best therapies. Dr. Scott also works in the space of mathematical radiation biology, where he has, with his collaborators, pioneered the concepts of the genomic adjusted radiation dose (GARD) and temporally feathered radiation therapy (TFRT).
