Dr. Beant Gill is a board-certified radiation oncologist for Associates in Radiation Medicine, one of the largest community-based radiation oncology practices in Maryland. He also serves as medical director for the clinics located in southern Maryland (Chesapeake Potomac Regional Cancer Center).
He is originally from Yorktown, VA and attended the George Washington University for undergraduate and medical school. After pursuing his internship in internal medicine at Georgetown University Hospital/MedStar Washington Hospital Center, he completed radiation oncology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). In his final year, he was selected as chief resident.
He served as a clinical assistant professor at UPMC after completing training. During this time, he was invested in medical education and research, resulting in over 30 published manuscripts and awards including the Medical Student Research Mentoring Merit Award and Young Oncologist Travel Award (American Radium Society). He also was co-chair of the network-wide quality oversight committee, medical director of his clinical practice, and associate medical director for management of clinical pathways. Most importantly, he is heavily devoted to patient care, having received the peer-nominated Leo Criep Award in 2017.
He now practices in Maryland and treats all malignancies with a specialized interest in prostate, lung, head and neck, gynecologic, and oligometastatic cancers. He also strongly believes in supporting the community where he practices by providing exceptional medical care while still focusing on holistic well-being and individualized management.
