Gerri Lamb, PhD, RN

Gerri Lamb, PhD, RN, FAAN is a wife, mother, nurse, past healthcare administrator and associate dean and now, professor emerita at Arizona State University. She is well known in professional circles for her research, books and articles on care coordination and quality outcomes. For this ASTRO presentation, however, she speaks from a deeply personal perspective about the impact of medical insurance denials on her husband who has a serious chronic illness and herself. Determined not to accept denials for essential radiation treatments, she and her husband, Ken, also a healthcare professional, offer their experience and advice about engaging patients in appealing insurance denials.
