Sentinel lymph node biopsies are being rapidly adopted in endometrial, vulvar and cervical cancers. While this is exciting, its also created confusion regarding indications of adjuvant radiation which have, to date, been based on lymphadenectomy data. Sentinel lymph node data has opened considerations of what to do with macrometastasis, micrometastasis and isolated tumor cells. How best to integrate this new information with traditional risk factors is evolving and varies for endometrial, cervical and vulvar cancers. These new issues are also not addressed in the recent ASTRO clinical guidelines in endometrial and cervical cancers. This session proposes to provide up to date clinical guidance on the integration and impact on radiation treatment in endometrial, cervical and vulvar cancers.
