There has been a recent and rapid expansion in the indications for radiopharmaceuticals. This has led to an increase in demand and need for providers who feel comfortable in delivering these therapies especially in the community setting. This session is geared toward community radiation oncologists who are interested in expanding their scope of practice into radiopharmaceuticals especially for prostate cancer. The session will have an academic radiation oncologist who will review the current data and indications for radiopharmaceuticals as well as potential future direction. She will be followed by two community radiation oncologists who are actively delivering these therapies. One will focus on the regulatory requirements, staffing needs and integration into a radiation oncology clinic. The last speaker will discuss how to develop a theranostic clinic in a community setting with discussion of imaging and sustainable business model.
